Rajma, Chawal, Bhindi (North Indian style kidney beans, rice, okra)

This dinner menu always reminds me of my friend Bhavna. She also loves rajma and bhindi just like me. Each time I have visited her she has made me this dinner menu without fail. First time it was her idea and the next subsequent times, it was my request :)


This is quite any easy dinner to achieve on your busy weeknight. And left overs work well for lunches too!



So I usually cook the kidney beans and rice in Instant Pot, in a "pot in a pot method".


While that is getting done, you can make bhindi subzi in a separate pan.




Then take out the rice and cooked beans from the IP. And use your IP to then make the rajma.





If I am using canned kidney beans, I cook the rice in " pot in a pot method" in IP. Take that out once it is done. Then use the IP to make the rajma with canned beans.
